Suffering from anxiety and panic at a young age, Dakotah turned to art as her sanctuary, using it as a powerful means of expression and self-therapy. Her mother, recognizing her innate talent and passion early on, enrolled her in local art academies, paving the way for her acceptance into Bak Middle School of the Arts, where her art journey began. Here, Dakotah's artistic abilities flourished, earning her numerous awards, including the highly esteemed Scholastic Art and Writing Award.

Continuing her artistic journey, Dakotah later auditioned for and attended Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she honed her skills in various mediums such as charcoal, pencil, acrylic paint, printmaking, and etchings. Her dedication to realism became evident during these formative years, with her ability to transform photographs into lifelike paintings earning her widespread acclaim.

After high school, Dakotah pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Florida Atlantic University, all while nurturing her burgeoning small business. Her focus on realism, particularly in her captivating pet portraits, quickly gained popularity, kick-starting her career and earning her a loyal following among pet owners and art enthusiasts alike.
